Quilt Nr. 65, von Hand hergestellt in meinem Atelier in Zürich.
Dieser Quilt besteht aus Stoffen aus aller Welt: Blockdruckstoffe aus Indien, gewebte Stoffe aus Guatemala, Stickereien aus Griechenland, bedruckte Stoffe aus der Schweiz, verziertes Leinen aus Österreich, Sarongs aus Sri Lanka, Brokat aus dem Iran sowie Kimono- und Blue-Print-Stoffe aus Japan, Stickereien aus Mexiko und Wachsdrucke aus Ghana.
Jeder Quilt ist ein Unikat, teilweise aus recycelten, wiederverwendeten Stoffen sowie neuen Textilien hergestellt, die alle aus umweltfreundlicher und nachhaltiger Verarbeitung stammen. Die handgefertigte Qualität und damit einhergehend die Unregelmäßigkeiten und Unvollkommenheiten verleihen den Stücken ihre eigene Tiefe und Haptik. Die Farbpalette richtet sich nach der Verfügbarkeit der Stoffreste.
Jeder Quilt hat zwei Seiten, eine geometrische Seite 1 und aus den Rest Stoffen, wird die Seite 2 gestaltet, die frei komponiert ist. So ist die Decke immer wieder neu einsetzbar und erzeugt neue spannende Bilder im Innenraum.
Der Quilt besteht aus drei Lagen: Seite 1 - ein Volumenvlies - Seite2.
Jeder Quilt ist handbestickt, durch die Stickerei erhält jede Decke eine zusätzliche Tiefe.

Each quilt is unique, made partly from recycled and reused fabrics as well as new textiles, all of which are sourced from environmentally friendly and sustainable production processes. The handcrafted quality – and the irregularities and imperfections that come with it – lend the pieces their own depth and texture. The colour palette depends on the availability of fabric remnants.
Each quilt has two sides: a geometric Side 1, and Side 2, which is freely composed using the remaining fabric remnants. This means the quilt can be used in ever-changing ways, creating new and exciting visual effects in any interior.
The quilt consists of three layers: Side 1 – a volumising wadding – Side 2.
Each quilt is hand-embroidered; the embroidery lends each quilt additional depth.
